Real Estate Companies Merge

Ron McManamy, President of United Real Estate Solutions, Inc. and Dick Salem, President of Salem Commercial Real Estate, today announced a merger of their companies effective November 15, 2001. Salem will relocate his offices from the MidAmerican building to the United Real Estate Solutions corporate offices on Gordon Dr.

Salem Commercial includes salesmen Kyle Kelly and Ed Walsh as well as long-time commercial REALTOR, Dick Salem.

The announcement was made Tuesday morning at the Holiday Inn. McManamy said they were very pleased to attract Siouxland's leading commercial real estate team to their complex of real estate services. he commented it was their goal to add the commercial component to their company within two years and it was gratifying to accomplish it so quickly.

United Real Estate Solutions was formed July 2, 2001 with the merger of the former HomeLand Realty, Century 21 Marketplace, Gateway Realty and Stinger-Albersen Co.

United Real Estate Solutions is in the process of combining their offices in the newly constructed Woodbury Center across from Staples on Gordon Dr. and expects to complete the move by next week.

Dick Salem, veteran of the real estate business in Sioux City, said he was immediately interested in the idea of joining with United Real Estate Solutions. He said there are a number of attractive business synergies that can be accomplished by locating his firm in the region's largest real estate complex. The exchange of business ideas and the sharing of support staff were two of the advantages he mentioned.

"The addition of Salem Commercial adds one more component toward our corporate goal, to create the region's most professional and comprehensive one-stop shopping real estate services company," said McManamy. United Real Estate Solutions, Inc. has REALTORS licensed in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.

Salem will continue to operate under the name Salem Commercial, a division of United Real Estate Solutions, Inc.
