Step 2 - Contact United Real Estate Solutions
Becoming a Realtor® requires that you associate with a Brokerage. Since real estate requires a significant investment of time, energy and money, it is recommended that you talk to a real estate broker about associating before you pursue your license. At United, we have a reputation for assisting new associates with the knowledge and tools to flourish...just ask around. For information about careers, please fill out the contact form on this page and we will be in touch with you!
Step 3 - Take your required Pre-license classes
Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota all have different requirements. United can point you in the right direction. Click on your state below to see your requirements.
Step 4 - Pass the state license exam
The location of the exam is dependent on the State. United can help you locate your nearest testing site.
Real estate licenses, much like your driver's license, are state issued. Because of Siouxland's distinction of being a tri-state region, we deal with three separate licenses and the requirements from each state. In order to sell real estate in any state, you must have a license in that state. It is usually best to get your primary license in the state where you live. All three states (Iowa, Nebraska & South Dakota) have pre-license classes that you must complete before you are able to sit for the Real Estate license exam.
